FAME 2013 TALENT LINE UP
Daly City :: Dub Police :: Haunted Audio
Denver, CO, USA
Hailing from Vancouver, BC (and inspired deeply by two years in San Francisco before recently moving to Denver, Colorado), ill-esha burst onto the North American electronic scene originally as a drum & bass vocalist featured on various releases for the likes of Breakbeat Science, Fokuz, and BluSaphir, gradually becoming known for the seamless incorporation of original vocals and MCing into her DJ sets. Her multi-dimensional approach spans every color in the bass music rainbow, creating a dynamic live show which has set ill-esha apart amidst some of electronic music’s most groundbreaking acts – her current live show features mostly original music chopped, screwed and beatmatched with live vocal effects and loops over top.
With releases on trendsetting labels such as Muti Music, Daly City, Street Ritual, Subway, Haunted Audio, Dub Police and Simplify, ill-esha has ranked in the top 3 on Junodownload, Addictech, Beatport Electronic and Soundcloud. Since the release of her first 12” single in her teens, ill-esha has been honing her skills as vocalist, DJ and producer who delivers studio efforts and live shows setting the stage for the future of electronic music. Her recent alliance with the Critical Beats project – a pioneering effort by artists to assist indigenous tribes in developing media centres for communication and culture preservation – is a resounding step forward on the path of an artist dedicated to creating social change and awareness through music.
If a fine line exists between classical and electronic, between ancient and new age, synthetic and organic, Kytami has sliced them all using only a violin and a bow… but what more does she need? Apparently nothing at all, as Kytami has already been dubbed a “music revolutionary” by Whats Up Magazine USA, a “violinistextremist” here at home, and has been summoned to bring her violin thunder to audiences as far reaching as Taiwan, Dubai and Berlin.
Through an alchemy of classical fiddle styles fused with the heavy bass elements of dubstep and hip hop, Kytami has managed to soar above not only the constraints of musical genre and labelling, but has forged a path so bold and unique that it’s taken her along side groups from Swollen Members to acoustic punk rockers Blackie and the Triumphs and today she is regularly dubbed as Canada’s most diverse and engaging fiddle player.
After co-founding the critically acclaimed global-fusion sound-storm Delhi 2 Dublin in 2006 and subsequently co-songwriting them toward international musical success until 2010, Kytami surged forward with her own solo career, bringing the essence of her music to audiences in it’s purest possible form. The 2012 release of her eponymous full-length solo album made this a reality by combining the far flung elements of classical music, dubstep and the world that only Kytami knows.
While the release of this new CD caused critics to again go about the business of trying to label that thing that Kytami does, others see the folly in trying.
“She does the impossible.” Says festival director Ty Cooke, “She could make you crowd-surf to Pachelbel. People call her a ‘rock-violin pioneer’; people call her ‘the live show of a lifetime’… I guess they’ll keep trying to name the force that is Kytami but she’ll never let them.”
With all this enigma, what can you expect at a Kytami show? Well lets start by straightening that out actually, the girl doesn’t play shows, she detonates dancefloors. Whether in front of Delhi to Dublin or The PhonoGraff, Kytami is internationally renowned for one thing: she rocks the fiddle like a woman possessed…. and the audience dances to match.
From Germany to Hong Kong and Joshua Tree Festival to Shambhala, one thing is affirmed at Kytami concerts time and time again: If you dare to witness this violin diva take the stage, be prepared to wear through not only the soles of your dancing shoes, but perhaps the version of reality you brought to the door.

Sheset Steez was born to the beat and from the earliest age of 5 she was surrounded by music. Influenced by EDM (Electronic Dance Music) at a young age knowing that the future of music would be as intense as it is today. Later she developed a passion for using music to bring diverse groups together.
Determined to succeed Sheset began the process of learning to be a DJ when she was 22 (2009) and in just 6 months she was booking gigs in some of Calgary’s and Edmonton’s hottest clubs. In a move almost unheard of in the DJ world, she bypassed the long process of opening for other DJ’s and went straight to headlining events, even for her very first show. Due to the success of this first gig she was offered a residency and began to perform there every week.
Just outside of Calgary, Sheset was a resident of an afterhours club called “Wild Afterhours”. Later she was a resident on the main stage at Calgary’s club Republik aka Klub OMFG. Her focus was always on heavy dance hits and sets that include many different styles almost ensured that she would always be the headliner. The crowd knows that her sets always consist of a variety of bass bomb beats and a wild dance floor.
Sheset’s collection collaborates mainly Electro, Dubstep, Drumstep, Drum & Bass , Hip Hop and Mashups. She is a born crowd pleaser who unites everyone in the room with her incredible energy as she drops bomb beats down on the dance floor while everyones there throwing it down right with her. She has played quite a few festivals and shows outside of her city, including Thailand full moon parties. Miss Steez has even played a couple of times in Los Angeles in the past couple of years.
Now Sheset’s main priority is producing her own music and vocals. She finished her first track “Parties Goin All Night” in January 2013. Drew “Zirkut” helped Sheset write her first track and Steve Roland aka Tantric Decks mastered it. She continues to work on her projects to feed her fans, so expect to see much more from this girl.

Canadian born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in the prairie city of Winnipeg, Ninjette is a heavy hitter in the Western Canadian bass music scene. Currently residing in a city of rain forest, mountains and ocean; Vancouver, British Columbia. As a youth she spent most of her spare time studying classical music theory and training as a vocalist in several reputable choirs as well as solo festival vocal competitions. She has always put music first, even as a child.
As a teenager she discovered the electronic dance music scene and never looked back. Staying involved in most of the major EDM club nights throughout the city of Winnipeg over the course of several years, she used her drive and ambition to become a leader in the underground afterhours scene as an event promoter. Being surrounded by talented DJs and producers, and putting her classical music career on the side to accommodate her new found love for electronic music, the next step that only made sense was to get behind the decks and spin up a storm. Observing her local influences as well as international artists to develop her ninja skills, she launched her blossoming DJ career and spread her love of mixing and music across the country. Rocking out the electro, bassline and fidget house sounds.
In 2009 she found her new place in Western Canada and dove head first into the bass heavy drum genres and incorporating live vocals into her performances. She later developed and maintained a solid festival circuit, gracing stages such as SYNCfest, The Groove, Motion Notion, Connect, Mad Hatter and Sexy Sounds and sharing stages with reputable artists including Aphrodite, Loadstar, Dirtyphonics, Bare Noise, Ill Gates, Sticky Buds and many others. Elevenn Iridian is girl living on the West Coast of Canada. She dj’s and produces her own beats. Some would describe her style at the moment as storybook goblin monster glitch-trap. Music is always incarnating and always evolving. Her approach to music is mixing in moods, and letting genres cross multiply and divide and flow as they too evolve. Inspired by dreams, cinematic elements, astrology, and samplology secrets. Elevenn is the ocean and she likes it when you listen to her sound cloud.

Brianne O’Connor, a.k.a. BreO, has been one of Kelowna’s leading female DJs since 2007. In the earlier years, BreO had established herself as vocalist, performing with the all-girl DJ collective “FlyDJs”. Before her transition to turntables in 2007, BreO had performed vocally at a variety of club nights, festivals and charity events across British Columbia.
As a DJ, BreO has performed at an arsenal of major events across Canada. 2011 was a year of accomplishments for her, and included performances across the border in the United States, as well as Shambhala Music Festival, where she was given an opportunity to live out her dream of playing The Village Stage! Her most recent accomplishment was the November 2012 release of her latest mix, which was part of the L.O.U.D. podcast series – hosted by the DnB Girls of Canada.
If you have had the opportunity to catch BreO live, you know that her sets are diverse and include a variety of tempos and styles, where bass is ALWAYS the focus! In the start, she mainly played the 4×4 rhythms of Electro and Garage, where she found she could best express herself through live vocals. More recently, BreO has been focusing on the heavier sounds of DnB, Breaks and Glitch Hop, making her own edits and mash-ups to develop her live performance.
Multi-talented, ruthless and driven by her love for music, this girl rocks a DJ set with proper style.
Always evolving yet ever maintaining her addictive “hard and dirty” attitude, The Creatures’ DJ sets consistently obliterate the ordinary. They’re seeping aural pleasures of delicious bass and soulful melodies that leave you utterly satisfied, wearing haze filled smiles and sore muscles for days afterwards: the good kind of pain. But brazen party is only one forte of this stage charmer’s persona. Painting layers of psychedelic, enigmatic downtempo is her not-so-secret mistress. Taste the intoxicating beats of her passionate sets. Experience the sounds of Sinthetik Creatures just once and you will be thirsting for more…
Find Sinthetik Creatures every summer at FozzyFest, Mad Hatter and U4eeYah music festivals and many other fine events.

Her massive booty basstech and electro sets have earned her a loyal following and she’s played alongside artists like Myles Dyson, Tom Stephan and Steve Aoki. She currently produces and remixes electronic music and has found her passion in the festival circuit droppin sets at Burning Man, Burn In The Forest, Dust Off and Afterglow.
DnB Girls of Canada :: Audio Empire :: Philthy City :: Bass Bed
At the age of only seventeen, Distinct, a newcomer to the electronic music scene, was quickly infatuated with the sounds of Drum & Bass. It wasn’t long before hearing the fast paced genre that she was out purchasing her first pieces of vinyl. Due to an extensive musical background it was only a matter of time before she was dabbling in a variety of other genres including glitch-hop, funky bass, breaks and electro house. Her versatility and ear for top notch electronica landed her numerous gigs across Alberta and British Columbia.
Eager to share her music and support her local scene she got herself involved with Audio Empire, a local crew. With them and a few other collectives, she currently helps to promote, perform and aid in the success of their popular events featuring the likes of Freaky Flow, Black Sun Empire, Dub FX and Dillon Francis to name a few. After placing 4th in “Calgary’s Next Top DJ” and a recent interview and article in (djmag.ca) she caught the attention of the scouts from the Drum & Bass Girls of Canada. It was no surprise they’d soon be asking her to join the team of women making noise across the country. With an already extensive festival circuit, a dream to conquer the world, and a family of experienced and supportive female artists to back her, there is no stopping this ball of D&B fire, as this is only the beginning of a very promising career.

Misselaineous aka Honeey Mustard
East Van Digital
One of the pioneers of Canadian electronic dance music culture, Honeey Mustard Misselaineous. Drum and Bass, Tribal & Acid Techno, Bass, House, Ambient, Bass….
It was at the age of 14 when Elaine got her first Synthesiser….:-)
Being a young fan of electronic music inspired her to explore this art form she adored further. In 1987 Elaine’s interest led her to a nightclub called The Banke in Calgary which was the largest and most progressive dance club in the city at the time. She moved into an art studio across the street from the club and got a job performing the light shows there progressing to a Dj residency 1989. It was there Elaine was exposed to some of the latest in cutting edge dance music, dj/lighting tools, and sound systems. She soon became involved in many theatrical fashion, art, and underground music shows which inspired her to immerse herself in early underground electronic music culture.
In 1993 with this ever growing passion for electronic music and dancing Elaine started promoting related music and art shows. This brought her deeper into the underground afterhours Calgary art and rave culture. Working with local DJs, event promoters, and organizers, she brought out some of the biggest names in the industry. Elaine has been part in throwing many legendary events in creative locations throughout the city and area.
At this time she was rockin the dance floor mixing vinyl tribal sets of underground Deep House, Techno, and Acid dance music as “Honeey” with vinyl from Chicago, Detroit, and UK artists found at the local underground record shop called “The Attic”.
Being a huge fan of Richie Hawtin, Detriot Techno, DnB, Synthesisers, 303′s, and losing your shit on the dance floor inspired Honeey to add an alter ego named “Mustard” focusing more and more on the Detroit, European, Tribal, harder styles of Techno music and the art of mixing with lock grooves on 3 decks taking the dance floor on a serious hard tribal ride with moments of deep soulful bliss… Honeey and Mustard became one.
Elaine was always experimenting with Synthesisers, Computers, Drum and Bass, Techno, and Ambient vibes but in 2004 she decided to take things to the next level and began seriously producing and recording her own music progressing into creating and performing Ableton Live sets.
Embracing the digital age though a vinyl purest at heart, Elaine now promotes Ableton Live and Traktor as her new mediums of choice but still loves to spin vinyl when she can.
Over the years Honeey Mustard has become synonymous with Canadian Techno music. Her productions, live sets, and Dj sets have been recognized worldwide. She has graced the stage at some of North Americas top music festivals, events, and venues including Shambhala and Motion Notion she has also played several times in Maui Hawaii. She is also being recognized as a DnB producer and Dj going under the name “Misselaineous” for her DnB Techno influenced productions she has many exciting projects underway including an album in 2013. In 2011 Misselainieous was signed on to East Van Digital, a digital music recording label based out of Vancouver Canada.
Elaine is also an accomplished visual, graphic, multi-media and web design artist.
Lil Miz Bumpit
Lil’ Miz BumpIt is unlike any other DJ that you may know. Instead of “hearing” the music, Lil’ Miz BumpIt makes you “feel” the music. She always produces her own intro’s that grabs the crowd’s attention until the very last beat.

Lil’ Miz BumpIt will be sure to leave you craving for more.

After spending years learning to play various musical instruments like celtic fiddle, guitar, and saxophone in her teens, Avery’s keen interest in music turned to electronica after being introduced to it by her older brother, who is a DJ and former record store owner. Inspired after hearing classic old school Trip Hop, Downtempo, and the space age sounds of Detroit Techno, Avery bought herself a MPC2000xl and her first analog synthesizer at the age of 17, and then began to make her first original tracks. Right from the very beginning she had a dream to invent a sound of her own and produce future thinking music. Then in 2010 after moving to Nelson B.C. and getting immersed in the outdoor electronic music festival/rave scene there, Avery discovered her undying love for bass music. It was then that Avery started DJing, learning Ableton Live, and finding her true original sound for production, hence the alias AVERSIVE was born. If you like futuristic bass mixed with innovative and worldly musicality, AVERSIVE is not an act to miss! After finishing the Contemporary Music program at Selkirk College in Nelson, in 2012 Avery moved to Vancouver BC and began studying Music Production/Audio Engineering at Harbourside Institute of Technology. Since living in the city her career has gained momentum, from opening for the international downtempo extraordinaire Bluetech to sharing stages with respected acts like Self Evident, HxDb, and Grenier DJG to name a few.
From surviving a near death accident to breathing life into the party, Sydney “Syductive” Gauvreau has experienced both extremes and everything in between. Following a near fatal car wreck in 2009, and suffering 3 breaks in her neck, Syductive has immersed herself in the only therapy capable of soothing her pain, music. Despite a doctors prediction that she would be permanently paralyzed from the neck down, Syductive made a miraculous recovery and walked out of the hospital 10 days later. Though she lives with chronic pain, her close shave with death ignited her will to continue pursuing her passion in doing what she loves most, moving a crowd. Syductive’s deep interest in music started at a young age when she took drum lessons. Ever since, her interest has increased and expanded to a multitude of genres and styles. Eventually Syductive began to observe the DJ, and began to learn the arts of mixing, scratching and reading the dance floor from other DJs she admired. She also took sound engineering courses at Vancouvers Art Institute, as well as some study sessions with DJ Marvel at Vancouvers School Of Mix. Having played a range of shows from clubs, to festivals, to underground raves, her uptempo, audience engaging sets once earned her a residency at one of VanCitys most memorable bass nights, Whatevers Dope. With blends of hiphop, funk, trap, dub, glitch, and her specialty, bootybreaks, Syductive has utilizes an arsenal of sounds as well as incorporates scratching as she dances and interacts with her audience on a personal level. When she isn’t busy spinning for her dedicated supporters, Syductive tours as DJ for hiphop phenoms Fatty Down and Attikus’ group FATTIKUS. Combining her infectious personality and stage presence, Syductive has electrified crowds in a supporting roles for shows featuring the likes of Love And Light, Mat The Alien, Stylust Beats and Emotionz, Bliss And Eso and People Under The Stairs. Having stared death in the face and not blinked, Syductive understands better then most the importance of seizing the moment and not waisting a second or opportunity to do what she is meant to do, conduct the crowd and turn the party out.

One of the most sought out female DJ’s in the nightclub and electronic music festival scene. An internationally booked artist from Canada.
Mesmerizing, passionate and stunning are just a few words that describe this hot talent in the house & electro DJ scene. Growing up with music was an important part of her life, she was able to truly appreciate the many avenues and genres. Playing the piano and having those classically trained roots contributed to her self-taught ability of picking up precise skills behind the decks.
Her natural ear for sounds makes djing & production in the studio perfect playgrounds for her creative and electrifying mixing skills. Exceeding expectations every performance, she has been described as one of the hardest working DJs in Canada. So it’s no surprise that Miss DJ Laela has become one of the fastest growing and highly sought after female DJs in the country. She holds many residencies around Western Canada including Whistler, Vancouver and Victoria nights, regular Revelstoke appearances, along with Banff and Calgary shows in AB.
Miss DJ Laela’s talents go far beyond her ability to lay down tracks, as she has been known to surprise the crowd by throwing in her alluring ‘Live Vocals’ over her tracks. Depending on the mood and desire of the crowd, you may catch her on the microphone and you will be amazed on a whole other level!! Her style reflects the sexiest, dirtiest house & electro beats in the club, so expect the dancefloors to be filled from start to end of the show.
She has supported MSTRKRFT, Sam La More (MOS Australia) and played alongside the likes of The Stafford Brothers (MOS Australia, Fox8 TV) and most recently Jamie Vale on a Red Bull Western Canada Tour. She also took the city of Victoria by storm on the main stage/venues at the 2009 & 2010 VEMF (Victoria Electronic Music Festivals), an annual summer festival with headliners DJ Dan, Donald Glaude and Starkillers to name a few. Between the 2010 Winter Olympics/Paralympics she performed in Vancouver & Whistler playing some of the hottest venues including Barcelona (Vancouver’s #1 voted Nightclub VNA 2010) and Gorgomish Afterhours, it was one of her favorite and most memorable tour experiences so far.
With each performance her domino effect occurs, making it’s way from venue to venue leaving one thing in common…a truly positive lasting impression! The result is her bookings branching out further away each time in higher demand. Networking at the highest level whenever and where ever she is has become her signature promoting herself as an artist. Recent exposure into the US market gained her representation on the talent roster of THUMP SOCIETY out of NYC, scouted by Reflex the agency owner and Resident DJ to Red Bull NYC. In Canada she’s signed with Symbiant Artist Management based out of Vancouver/Victoria BC.
Miss DJ Laela illuminates the decks, and should not to be missed if you have the opportunity to see her play. We are sure to see a lot more of this beautiful and talented DJ in the near future.

Since then she has gone on to playing many popular music festivals within the Canadian Rockies. Dedication- The act of being wholly committed to something, as to an ideal, political cause, or personal goal: a dedicated artist.
Desire- To wish or long for; to crave or want
In definition the whole embodiment of the passion and focus which Dezire commands.
Since 2007 she has made it apparent over this short time that her tough no nonsense style is exactly why she started DJing in the first place. As a weekly “Release Saturday” resident at Y afterhours and as the founder of a monthly hard dance club night in Edmonton, one can expect anything from upbeat bouncing basslines to the hardest dirtiest of filth when this girl rocks the floor, with this earning herself best Dj in Edmonton’s “Grand Masters Vs Nu Kids On the Block” Dj competition. Coupled with contagious energy and an enticing smile, Dezire will leave you wanting more when its over.
Growing and moving forwards seems as though its natural in Dezire’s world as she travels playing across western canada or her recent time in the studio grinding out some of her own hard sound.
Playing her own grooves is the next firework in a sky full of many explosions as her recent collaborations with Aaron Olson & Darjis hit the charts. Hard dance may not be ready for the wave which Dezire has started in Canada which could quite possibly circle the world.

Already an avid club-goer and lover of any music that made her dance, DJ NineLives learned the trade in late 2006 after she heard her first sweet sounds of Drum and Bass, stumbling into a random room at a very random house party. Instantly curious, ths fearless feline DJ was born. Watching the great DnB turntablists such as Marky, Andy C, DJ Hype, as well as her amazing friends, she gained a love and respect for vinyl and the old school feel of the underground scene, falling in love with the sounds of the Hospital, Viper, and RAM labels.
Starting off her career in the grimy basement of the Underdog, in Peterborough, Ontario, and under the influence of the Epic Academy crew, she spread her dancefloor vibes and began throwing regular shows at The Ossia and The Trash with her Sub-Culture crew. She then moved on to tackle the Toronto scene, becoming a resident DJ at Toi Bar, and regularly rinsing under Misfit Productions and Psychoactive Soundscapes productions, while attending the amazing shows of Destiny, Future Sound, and Soul In Motion, to name a few. Over this last summer, she began to further explore her love of all things House, focussing mainly on Electro and shook dancefloors all summer at the infamous Solartribe Full Moon parties. This past fall, she and her friend and fellow-DJ, Phroh, hosted a season of ‘Ladies Night Thursdays’ at the Savage Beagle in Whistler, playing a range of genres from house and breaks, to liquid dnb, reggae, and everything guaranteed to make you get up and dance. This past January she also had the privilege to open for SPY with the Whistler Junglists.
Keep your eye out for this one-of-a-kind kitty, rocking the dancefloors of beautiful BC…

Not wanting to be just another bedroom Dj, she immediately developed her unique style that could only be described as pull your clothes off dirty. December 2005, TnA made her way to Kelowna, where she found her place in the evolving dance scene there. Her upbeat personality and quickly growing fan base and dirty style quickly drew the attention of the local promoters and soon playing at local club nights and outdoor events through out the interior of B.C.

Miss Angel of Boy Meets Girl
Daniyah, aka Miss Angel of Boy Meets
Girl, grew up in Vancouver, BC after moving to Canada from Saudi Arabia when she was 5. Growing up watching Pop Up Video and listening to Much Dance mixes and the Essential Selection hosted by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, she longed to listen to more electronic music but she was too sheltered to know where and how to find them. Fast forward to 2006 when her first visit to an after-hours club changed her entire view of the electronic music scene in Vancouver. The next few years were spent making her way through bars and clubs, rubbing shoulders with the right people, and eventually becoming a familiar face at Hollywood Fridays at Lotus, Believe at Red Room and, of course, Vancouvers top after-hours: Gorg-O-Mish.
It was fairly common to see her standing in the DJ booth watching her favourite DJ’s work their magic on the equipment and being in awe at their talent. Already learning the ropes of a promoter, it was only natural for her to try her hand at DJ’ing. With the encouragement and support of some her favourite local DJ’s like Jay Tripwire, Rhiannon, Sage, Sheps, and TJ Hooker, an attempt that started out as clumsy and awkward soon became her own form of art as she found a knack at letting music express her feelings and allowing her stories to come forth from the tracks that she played. Through sheer pride and discipline, she carefully honed her style to best suit her personality: a mix of contradicting characteristics that always kept everyone on their toes. After meeting Mr. Cox of Boy Meets Girl, and with her experience in Marketing, Miss Angel got to work on developing the Boy Meets Girl name into a brand. Taking inspiration from the Boy Meets Girl parties hosted by TIGHT Entertainment, the Boy Meets Girl name became a rapid success amongst their peers and friends.
Currently residing as a DJ with LuvnGrace Entertainment, co-hosting Open Dex at Anza club and working on projects with other local artists, including Blackberry Wood, The Ponderosas and international superstar Tonye Aganaba, Miss Angel is no slacker as she gears up for bigger and better ways to express her style and spread the Boy Meets Girl brand. Known for playing long sets with her heart and soul poured into every mix, Miss Angel takes you on a journey of her experience; From the pain of heartbreak in her Affected mix to the blinding epiphany carefully nestled in her Evolution mix, it’s no secret that Miss Angel knows how to weave in and out of reality with her carefully chosen tracks. Stay tooned for this seemingly quiet yet quirky girl coming to a dance floor near you!
BassSlut was first introduced to the scene in 2010 when she attended Flush Royale, which began her love affair with electronic music. From that moment on, she knew she wanted to DJ but instead teamed up with Darth Raver to bring you shows such as Alice in Bassland, The Groove Music Festival, Santa Strikes Back and Beats by the Pound. In late 2012 she was able to fulfill her dream of being behind the decks and making the dance floor move. BassSlut is a sucker for fidget so she won’t disappoint with her wobbly basslines that keep your booties bouncing and you begging for more. “Never let the music stop!”
